Cleaning brushes

Examples of where you might find brushes:

  • Scrub or cleaning brushes

Notes about the surface:

  • Molded bristle brushes are recommended because they do not have the harborage points found on drilled and stapled brushes. Drilled and stapled brushware can be hard to clean and likely cannot be sanitized.
  • A frequent cleaning and sanitizing schedule for brushes will help prevent accumulation of soil and microorganisms.
  • Brushware that has loose bristles, is broken or otherwise damaged should be replaced.
