Job Description ­ Production Assistant
Reports To:  Production Manager and Winemaker

Blendings Winery is a family owned boutique winery nestled in the picturesque landscapes of Fort Collins, Colorado. With a passion for crafting exceptional wines, we take pride in our commitment to quality, innovation, and a warm, inviting atmosphere.  As we continue to grow, we are seeking a talented Production Assistant to join our team.

Job Description:
As a Part Time Production Assistant at Blendings Winery, you will play a crucial role in the winemaking process, contributing to the creation of unique and high quality wines. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and dedicated individual to work in a collaborative and family oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Cellar Management: Assist with monitoring cellar operations, including fermentation, racking, blending, and aging.
2.  Quality Control: Conduct regular quality control assessments to ensure the production of exceptional wines that align with Blendings Winery standards.
3. Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of winemaking activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry regulations.
4. Collaboration: Work closely with the team, vineyard staff, and management to achieve common goals.

 

Requirements

Requirements:

• Passion for winemaking

• Strong work ethic

• Ability to work both independently and within a team, with minimal supervision

• Ability to be on feet all day and able to lift 55+ lbs regularly

• Comfortable working with chemicals and willingness to adhere to safety, environmental and brewhouse standards at all times

• Good troubleshooting skills, and strong mechanical/electrical aptitude

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• 1+ Year previous experience at a winery or brewery, cellar experience, or Fermentation Science Education

• Degree or background in biology, chemistry or engineering is a bonus but not required
