Assistant Distiller

Company Description

Archetype Distillery is an ultra-premium vodka and gin distillery located in Vail CO and Gypsum, CO.  Founded in Denver, CO in 2017, full distillery operations relocated to Gypsum 2023.  All products are distilled exclusively from wine grapes. 

Archetype is looking for independent and responsible employees that are motivated to be part of a growing business.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist the Distillery Manager in all aspects of spirit production and packaging, including: 

• Setting up and running fermentations & distillations, product maceration  
• Labelling, case-making, bottling & product quality control. 
• Transferring liquids, cutting spirit to proof/finishing spirits. 
• General cleaning and upkeep. 
• Managing and moving inventory.
• Engaging with retail customers as needed. 

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

• Any brewery or distillery experience preferred.
• Basic math & writing skills.
• Forklift/warehouse experience is a plus.

Candidate is able to:

• Operate a forklift and pallet jack.
• Move & lift heavy and awkward objects up to 50LB (cases & carboys).
• Stand, walk, kneel, crouch, squat, and utilize ladders.

Salary & Benefits:

• Pay starting from $20/hr depending on experience
• Availability:  6-week (paid) training/trial period, with option to hire full-time.
• Full insurance (health, dental, vision) available after training period.
• Core days: Wednesday-Friday 10am-6pm. Additional days for full-time hire.
