Lodge & Kitchen Prep Team Member – Majestic Dude Ranch
Season: Summer 2026
Location: Mancos, Colorado — nestled in the San Juan Mountains of Southwest Colorado
Compensation: Hourly wage (discussed at hiring) + tips
Room & Board: Staff housing and all utilities included. Housing is rustic, simple, and shared. Meals provided on guest operation days.
Zero Tolerance Policy: Majestic Dude Ranch maintains a strict no-tolerance policy. The use or possession of alcohol or drugs is prohibited in staff housing and anywhere on ranch property. Violations result in immediate termination.

About the Role

Join our team at Majestic Dude Ranch as a Lodge & Kitchen Prep Team Member, where no two days are the same! This fast-paced, hands-on position is perfect for someone who enjoys variety and thrives in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. Team members support both kitchen and lodge operations, ensuring meals and dining experiences run smoothly for our guests.

Primary Responsibilities

• Prep ingredients, including meats, vegetables, and other items, according to directions from kitchen managers.
   
• Assist with basic cooking tasks; prior kitchen prep or cooking experience is required.
   
• Clean the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and pans, and maintain cleanliness in walk-in refrigerators and freezers.
   
• Set up and break down buffet and action stations for meal service.
   
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment such as grills, smokers, and the soft-serve machine (training provided).
   
• Support the lodge team with additional tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations.

This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy variety, teamwork, and a fast-paced environment, and who take pride in maintaining high standards. It’s also an excellent opportunity for those looking to gain experience in a kitchen or take a first step into the culinary world.

You will work closely with the Lead Kitchen Team Member, receiving guidance and support while developing your kitchen prep and cooking skills. Success in this role requires basic kitchen skills, a willingness to learn, the ability to follow directions, and a proactive approach to growing your abilities in a dynamic, hands-on environment.
