The Role

We're looking for a Bar Service Assistant to join our Tasting Room team — a role built for someone ready to grow beyond bar-backing, with a desire to expand into full custom bartending. You'll be expected to keep service moving, supporting our bartenders, and delivering the polished hospitality Archetype is known for.

Because our program is built around custom cocktails as well as a signature menu, this is a real path toward bartending for someone with the palate and curiosity to earn it.

What You'll Do

●      Assist with opening/closing duties, inventory counts, and full cleaning of facilities.

●      Greet and engage guests, answer basic questions about our spirits and cocktail menu, and help create a welcoming tasting room experience

●      Support bartenders during service by making simple syrups, restocking bar essentials, and cleaning/maintaining glassware

●      Assist with basic drink preparation and service under bartender guidance

●      Deliver beverages to guests and bus/reset tables as needed

●      Support tastings and special events as needed

●      Learn Archetype's spirits, cocktail program, and brand story to help elevate the guest experience

Requirements

What We're Looking For

●      Prior experience in a bar, restaurant, or hospitality setting preferred, but not required (barback, server, or similar)

●      An instinct for how flavors build together; you can understand why a drink is out of balance and what would fix it, and you're excited to build custom cocktails around a guest's preferences rather than an average standard

●      Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to stay organized

●      Friendly, guest-focused attitude and clear communication skills

●      Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from bartenders and management

●      Must be 21+ and able to obtain any required food/alcohol service certifications (e.g., TIPS)

●      Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30-40 lbs

Schedule & Compensation

●      Part-time, 3pm-10pm shifts

●      Hourly wage: starting $20.00/hr + pooled tips
